Good Book: How To Write Light Novels

Writing Fiction

Another Quick Post

I spent most of the day planning and running through the Python course I mentioned yesterday.More gems to come out of that, but this is another quick post as it’s Saturday.

(Come to think of it, maybe I’ll schedule resources, reviews and the like for these weekend posts; I have to get some kind of schedule going.)

However, quick topic for the day is that I read a great book a while back. It was free on Kindle Unlimited and called, How To Write Light Novels and Web Novels.

Now, I’m not really interested in the subject matter per se. as in I’m not interested in East Asian fiction, anime, manga and the like.

However… the book is good because if you’re a Western writer, then chances are you’re behind the Asians who are far, far better at monetising their writing in the 21st Century. It’s not so much a case of the writing style or the genre, (although both help,) but the way that Asian publishing houses are so far ahead on adapting their businesses for the current, tech-heavy climate.

Give it a read if you’re interested. I’ll talk about this more sometime in the next few days when I have time to write properly.

Link is here.

Or, here if you’re in the UK.

Disclaimer; those aren’t affiliate links because god knows when I logged into my Amazon affiliate account. Click away, I won’t get paid. I’m just recommending because it was a useful book and I didn’t have time to write a fullblown blog post tonight.
