I just wrote 500 words of a god-knows-how-long it should be article on how we need a better word than “hustle” when describing online business.
I’ve deleted it and am posting this non-event instead because one thing I’ve always found true is that there is no point in writing gibberish. Many writers do a rushed, rough first draft. They then take their thoughts, clean it up, rewrite it until it’s a polished piece.
I don’t believe in this because it fails the Heinlein’s Rules test, and also, it trains you to write gibberish. After all, if you’re rewriting it anyway, what’s the point in writing good words the first time around?
That’s my theory, at least.
Today, I’m obviously not in the game, and while we do need a different word instead of “hustle” I can’t do the topic justice right now.
So we’ll have to wait on that and I recommend you follow the “don’t write gibberish” advice. Even when you’ve promised to write a daily blog post.
