Thrive Headline Optimizer Review
Thrive Headline Optimizer is one of the best plugins I’ve ever used. If you want to increase your site’s traffic, engagement rates and you want visitors to spend longer on your site then you should read this article.
If you’re a copywriter who wants to have tons of data to back up your claims and make you better at your job, then you should be using Thrive Headline Optimizer on your website. Read about it at this link.
This article is a Thrive Headline Optimizer review, and in it, I’m going to tell you how to use Thrive Headline Optimizer, why you should buy Thrive Headline Optimizer, as well as litter the whole thing with interesting information about writing headlines.
Headlines Are Massively Important
David Ogilvy is a hero of mine. (I still have to get around to reviewing his book!) His data showed that the headline of a marketing piece accounts for 80% of the traffic to that piece.
Ergo, if you spend a dollar on advertising, eighty cents of that is spent on the headline. That’s how important good headlines are.
Of course, diligent readers of my site already know this. We covered how to write great headlines in these articles I wrote a while back:
- These Headline Writing Tips Will Make You Richer
- Five Free Headline Writing Resources
- How To Write SEO Headlines
If you read a book or two on copywriting, advertising or marketing, you’ll know that writing is about hard data and creating sales material that gets better and better over time. That comes with a problem though.
When you’re starting out in affiliate marketing or advertising, it’s really hard to know whether what you’re doing is right or not.
You don’t have an intuitive sense of what’s going to work because your brain hasn’t wired itself into super-sneaky-salesman mode. It’s also impossible to look at data to drive your choices because you don’t have any data yet.
This creates a catch-22 situation where you want to create material that works, but you don’t have the knowledge or data to see what works until you’re there.
I’m going to help you. But first, let’s talk about Thrive Headline Optimizer, and why it’s probably the best tool you can get when it comes to creating and learning about headlines and online data in general.
Thrive Headline Optimizer Review
For the past few weeks, I’ve been running dastardly experiments on you all.
I’ve written before that when it comes to websites, the majority of the work is in the sneaky backend that readers never get to see. My experiment has been running in that background.
I’ve been testing headline variations across all of my sites. The better your headline, the more eyes you’ll get reading your articles, sharing your articles and ultimately buying your stuff.
To keep it short, Thrive Headline Optimizer is like having a statistics specialist working for your online business. It allows you to split-test headlines, track which headlines perform better (or worse) than others and then automate selecting the best ones to send your site forward.
In short, it’s something that sounds really simple but it will massively improve your website.
I’ve split this “review” (and I put that in quote marks because it’s also a how-to guide) into two parts:
- How To Use Thrive Headline Optimizer
- Why You Should Buy Thrive Headline Optimizer
I’m not going to patronise you by acting impartial; I think the software is fantastic. You probably will too if your cumulative engagement report (total amount of engagements on your site) looks like mine within a month too:
Let’s get to the good stuff.
How To Use Thrive Headline Optimizer
Even the most powerful software in the world is useless if you don’t know how to do it.
So I’m going to give you the blueprint as far as how to use Thrive Headline Optimizer is concerned. (For those of you who decide not to grab Thrive Headline Optimizer, you can still kind of use this blueprint. You’ll just have to do it manually which is time consuming and brainpower intensive. So Buy Thrive Headline Optimizer.)
Without further pause, let’s get into a simple 5 step routine for making huge gains with Thrive Headline Optimizer.
Step One: Check out the headline resources I linked to above. (Don’t scroll up, click here.)
Step Two: Use this exercise to create templates out of every single one of the best headlines ever.
Step Three: Get a list of articles on your website(s). Break them down into how-to/product reviews/comparison posts or whatever.
Step Four: Select the variations that’ll fit your articles, write the headlines from the templates, and load them into Thrive Headline Optimizer.
Step Five: Let Thrive Headline Optimizer do the hard work, occasionally check the data and prune the low performing ones, and make a note of which ones do brilliantly. If you want, you can set Thrive Headline Optimizer to prune your bad headlines and pick the best variation automatically. I don’t do this though. Yet.
Over time, you’ll find out which headlines outperform others on a consistent basis. You’ll also build that intuitive sense of which headlines suit which articles/products better.
If you choose not to buy Thrive Headline Optimizer, then you can follow the process above, but you’re going to do a lot of guesswork and number crunching. That’s how I started analysing my headlines from a data perspective, and believe me; it’s a lot less fun.
Why You Should Buy Thrive Headline Optimizer
Thrive Headline Optimizer is an incredible plugin for WordPress. When I initially purchased my Thrive membership, it wasn’t the tool that excited me most. However, it’s probably the plugin I’ve gotten the most immediate benefit from. That’s out of any plugin I’ve ever bought or downloaded.
It’s simple to use. Once you’ve learned the science of headlines (follow the steps I’ve outlined above!) it’ll take you five minutes to create a set of headlines for every post. Then, Thrive Headline Optimizer will work tirelessly in the background, giving you huge amounts of useful data that will improve your site’s traffic, engagement rate, time-on-site figures and – later on – your conversion rate and thus money in your pocket.
Get It Now
For those of you who have (or will have) multiple sites:
I strongly recommend, if you’re going to buy the plugin on its own (more on that in the P.S. section) that you get the multiple sites option if you have multiple sites. Once you realise how easy it is to set up and use, you’re going to want it on all of your sites. Also, the amount of data you get running this software on multiple sites is huge. You can get more data with Thrive Headline Optimizer and a handful of sites than a lot of million-dollar marketing companies have.
I’m easily going to have over one hundred websites by this time next year. I plan to run Thrive Headline Optimizer on all of them and use the data to scale my business into the stratosphere.
P.S. If you’ve read this and realised that data is awesome, you might want to play around with more than just your headlines.
If that’s the case, then you might want to check out the Thrive Themes membership package. You pay about $20 a month and you get access to every theme and every plugin the team create now and in the future.
I’m not normally a fan of monthly subscriptions, but I happily pay for the Thrive membership. To be honest I would if it was two or three times the price.
