Niche Site Challenge Week 20: The Catch-Up Edition
Hi there one-and-all.
This marks the twentieth week of the niche site challenge.
The niche site challenge is a simple commitment to building niche sites for a year. I’d explain it in more depth, but we’ll get to that shortly.
Every week, I post what I’ve been doing as far as my own niche site challenge goes. I also write some random thoughts for niche sites and if another challenger (or reader, guru or otherwise random visitor to this little internet island) posts about niche sites, I’ll link to them as well.
This week is going to be a little different.
I’ve been away all week. I’m spending today catching up with all the things I’ve missed during the week. I’ve been answering emails, following up with clients and whatnot.
As such, there’s nothing new for me to contribute.
However…
One of the weird things about writing regularly is that you’ll accumulate articles at a pretty fast pace.
In fact, when it comes to sharing my articles on social media and the like, I’m now at a point where I could share nine articles a day every day for a month and still not link to all of them.
Why does this matter?
Because this week, instead of writing new material, I’m going to give you a list of all the past niche site challenge posts. My site is pretty cluttered and it’s not always easy to find what you’re looking for, (I’ll be changing that soon,) so this might help a few guys out.
From the start:
That’s the whole list.
In those links, you’ll find the rules, the methods and the progress updates that I’ve gone through for the niche site challenge.
I’ve also written a lot of posts outside of these updates that I’ve linked to in those articles. For more subjects, you can check the archive page, but there’s enough in the above articles and the material they link to that’ll keep you reading for more than enough time.
Call-To-Action + Final Thoughts
Every week, I end with a call to action. Let me know if you’ve got any questions about niche sites that I haven’t answered elsewhere. If you’re building niche sites, let me know how you’re getting on and what you’re doing.
As a final thought, this article – if nothing else – shows that if you put in an hour or so every week to write blog posts, you’ll quickly build up a massive amount of words to show for it. These updates are only an accountability thing for me, (the niche site challenge is only a part-time hobby itself) yet there are nearly 25,000 words in the above articles. That’s more than a Master’s degree thesis and it’s not far off the word count for a commercial book.
With writing, a few words a day is enough to accomplish big things within a few months.
Anyway, that’s enough rambling. Drop your comments below and hopefully we’ll be back to regular programming next week.
