Niche Site Planning (Method #139499)
So I planned another niche site today.
(I’m staying off the internet as a kind of detox, but the brain does what it wants I guess.)
Now, with planning stuff, over time you’ll find that things become more and more condensed.
The latest plan for today’s niche site is a couple of pages.
Page One
Page one includes a basic content marketing plan on one side and a bunch of affiliate programs on the other.
So let’s say you have ten content types and ten categories. That’ll give you 100 topics without thinking about anything.
Let’s take fitness as an example.
Categories
- Exercise
- Diet
Post Types
- List post
- Review
So you’d get:
- Exercise list post
- Exercise Review
- Diet review
- Diet list post
So that key is pretty simple, but we care more about making money.
So we have affiliate program ideas:
- Supplement companies
- Protein
- Vitamins
- Fitness equipment
- Ab wheel
- Resistance bands
- Pull up station
You get the picture.
By the end of the first page, we have a content marketing strategy and the monetisation that makes it worth it.
Page Two
I did a keyword research brainstorm on one side of page two and used the Quora trick to get a ton of questions on the niche that people are asking.
Of course, you’ll want to put all this into a keyword research program and cross-reference with your page one, but this should give you basically the whole thing in a couple of pages.
So to continue our quick above example, you might use Quora to find out what people are asking about getting 6-pack abs. We cross reference with our page one and the keyword research program to come up with these topics:
- 10 unknown exercises for FAST AB DEVELOPMENT
- 7 Diet Ideas For 6-Pack Abs
- Ab Wheel Review: Does This Kill Stomach Fat?
- SuperSupplementS.com: Is This The Best Supplement Website For Fat Loss Pills?
And so on. Â If you have a lot of ideas, then this could be your page three I suppose.
Final Thoughts
This is the shortest article I’ve written on the site, but the principle is simple. You can do this planning while you’re sat outside somewhere getting UV exposure and not reading stupid arguments on the internet.
Then you can cross reference it all on Monday morning (or whenever you get your free time to build niche sites) with your keyword research tools and internet browsing and you’ll be ready to go.
This will take you maybe an hour or two.
If all this sounds like nerd-speak, then check out the archives for various niche site ideas and planning.
See you in the next one.
